Firm History
Carl Domino and Michael Dixon have been friends and business associates for over twenty years.
Carl Domino is a nationally recognized money manager. For more than thirty years, he has managed assets on behalf of high net-worth individuals and institutional clients such as pension funds, educational institutions, charitable foundations and labor unions. Carl founded Carl Domino Associates, L.P. in 1987, where he served as the President and Chief Investment Officer, and grew their assets under management to over $3.4 billion. His firm’s expertise was developed in the institutional marketplace, and Carl Domino Associates, L.P. became a national leader for managing institutional assets.
Michael Dixon’s expertise is in providing the highest level of individual, customized service and solutions to meet the many needs of affluent individuals. Michael was President of Michael J. Dixon & Associates, Inc., which had its headquarters in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Michael's advisory practice provided services relating to individual and business related activities, including strategic and tax planning for closely held entities, investment consulting and personal family office services.
Since very few clients have the same needs, and each has their own individual goals and lifestyles, in mid-2004 Carl and Michael recognized the need to create a firm to meet the financial services required in both the institutional and individual marketplaces.
Understanding each other’s personal and business principles, along with their extensive financial experience, Carl and Michael decided to implement a new business strategy for the firm of Carl Domino, Inc. By delivering customized investment management strategies and individual financial services to their clients, they started a wealth management practice in Palm Beach.
Being an independent wealth management firm with an in-house research team, comprehensive investment models, and proven investment strategies, Carl and Michael believe that personal contact and the on-going evaluation of their client’s needs, goals and expectations is the key to success. Their firm’s approach is to achieve client solutions by establishing strategic relationships with other professionals, such as accountants, attorneys and insurance representatives. These relationships help to provide a total team approach in achieving every client’s financial goals.
